During our 26-week program, you will receive in-house instruction combined with on-the-job training with our local and regional businesses partners.

Together with our instructor/counsellors, you will develop an individual goal plan and an action plan. We will help you develop strategies to overcome any challenges that have prevented you from getting or keeping a job in the past.


There are many components to the training offered here at SSWAP.

Instructional areas include Life Skills and Personal Development, Essential Skills, Computer Fundamentals, Work/Life Literacy, Career Exploration and Employability Skills like adaptability, presentation, teamwork, confidence as well as others. Learn more about them here.

Participants receive certifications in FoodSafe, Emergency First Aid, CPR and WHMIS.
